Update On The Cape Cinema

To Our Patrons:

We hope you are all safe and well and enjoying the warming weather.

Although it’s a struggle for us to maintain solvency as this crisis has now evolved into a marathon, we do have some uplifting news to report. First, I have been so touched by the support from so many of you. Your advance ticket forgiveness, your many letters of support and generous contributions have been a great help in a time of virtually no income. We have also received support from the federal government in the form of a FEMA grant and a payment protection loan which will help keep our employees on our payroll. The quick action by our local bank, The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, is to be commended in so many ways. They have also approved a substantial loan to the Cape Cinema business to help keep us solvent; they are truly a community bank that cares.

With the continued support of the community we will get through this very difficult time and get back on our feet and again bring you the very best in Art Cinema, the Met, the National Theater, the Bolshoi Ballet and many other special events. We plan to have new content streamed every Friday, so check us out: www.capecinema.com. We are already streaming a number of first-run movies, soon to be followed by other events. After much discussion, however, we have discontinued our curb- side concessions sales until we know it is safe enough for our older audience to venture out for unessential items.

After a lot of serious thought and consultation with a number of people, we are strongly considering forming a nonprofit to operate the Cape Cinema, in place of the present S- corp. We are looking for a lawyer who might be willing to volunteer their time to help guide us through this process. If you are interested in assisting us in this way, or in serving on the Board , please send a brief resume to Eric Hart, PO Box 1111 , Dennis, Mass. O2638.

A friendly reminder that if you are interested in lending additional support to the Cinema, you can make check out to Cape Cinema Group Inc. and mail to Cape Cinema, PO Box 1111, Dennis, Mass. 02638. All financial support will go to the operational expenses of the Cinema only.

Again, your love and support for this theater is so much appreciated. A million thanks!!!!! My heart goes out to all of you.

My Very Best to all of you,

Eric A Hart

Co-Owner of the Cape Cinema Group Inc.
