George Clooney plays the title role, Jack, a weapons maker for professional assassins and a killer himself, who suddenly finds himself at the opposite end of a gun sight. Clooney easily fits the character - smart, handsome, worldly - in this film adaptation from the novel A Very Private Gentleman. The sexy, suspenseful thriller takes place in the Italian countryside in the mountains of Abruzzo where Jack has retreated after a job in Sweden ended more harshly than expected.
